Evansville Audubon Society Meeting: Rewilding Southwest Indiana
The subject will be natural habitat and wildlife. Presented by Heath Hamilton, Wildlife Refuge Specialist at Patoka River National Wildlife Refuge. Heath’s presentation will focus on how ongoing habitat restoration and management activities, land acquisition, and conservation partnerships are attracting rare wildlife species and making Southwest Indiana an even wilder place. The meeting will be at 6:00PM at the Wesselman Nature Center. The meetings are free and open to the public. Heath Hamilton is a member of the Southwest Chapter, Indiana Native Plant Society and a past presenter and field trip leader.

Vanderburgh County CISMA Weed Wrangle
Southwest Chapter volunteers joined the fight against invasive species, continuing the work their CISMA started last fall. They helped remove harmful plants from North Woods Nature Trail to preserve the park’s native trees and plants.
