An Evening with Richard Louv, November 1

RICHARD LOUV, NOTED AUTHOR, TO APPEAR IN INDY

Richard Louv, author of Last Child in the Woods: Saving Our Children from Nature Deficit Disorder, will be making a rare public appearance Nov. 1 at Butler University’s Clowes Hall.  His latest book, Our Wild Calling: How Connecting with Animals Can Transform Our Lives—And Save Theirs will be published on Nov. 5, but advance copies will be available for purchase at the event.

Mr. Louv’s appearance is presented by Butler University, Environmental Educators Association of Indiana and the Indianapolis Zoo.  Nine additional organizations, including Indiana Native Plant Society are also sponsors of the event.

The presentation will be free to the public, but tickets are required.  Tickets can be obtained at butlerartscenter.org starting Oct. 1.  Members of sponsoring organizations will be able to obtain tickets starting Sept. 24.  A special email, including the password needed for early tickets, will be sent to INPS members closer to Sept. 24, reminding them of this opportunity.
