Hike Prairie Border Preserve with INPAWS North Chapter May 5

Directions: From Hwy 49 at Wheatfield, go east on State Road 10 by Family Express. After 3 miles, turn south on N 300 E for about 2.77 miles. It will be on the east side of the road. If you hit County Rd 900, you went too far.

Description: Join Scott Namestnik (Senior Botanist at Orbis Environmental Consulting) as he leads a hike into Prairie Border South (the Kuner-Jordan Tract) of Prairie Border Preserve.  This is our big state event! Scott will be supported by at least two more plant experts to assist on this special hike. Prairie Border South is an oak savanna remnant and restoration as well as being part of the large Tefft complex. The mesic sand areas around Tefft complex have been through amazing restoration by the Nature Conservancy, and showcase its incredible seed bank.
