Help Science with Project BudBurst

If you can’t wait to get out in the woods and fields and look for the first signs of spring, here’s a great project for you: Project BudBurst, a citizen science program of Chicago Botanic Garden.

Similar to Cornell Lab of Ornithology’s eBird reporting system, BudBurst participants report the first leaf, flower, fruit and other aspects of individual plants, as single observations or over a period of time.

The collected data contribute to the understanding of phenology, the effects of climate on plant and animal life.
