Why Callery Pear Was Pulled from Invasive Plant Rule

A local article explains why the DNR pulled Callery pear from the proposed rule banning invasive plants from being sold in Indiana:

Invasive Plant Advisory Committee chair Dawn Slack points out that invasive species negatively impact our natural areas, areas that offer sanctuaries for rare, threatened and endangered species and that provide recreation, beauty, local revenue (e.g. Brown County State Park), and many additional attributes.
