Host an ICAN Nature Play Day Event

Adam Schmutte of Keep Indianapolis Beautiful sent us this:

From June 10th to 18th, Indiana Children and Nature Network is encouraging organizations across Indiana to help get kids outside to run, play, explore, and learn by hosting a Nature Play Day event. These events can be anything from multi-day community events to a simple guided hike, stomp in a creek, or a playground meet-up.

Large or small, free play or department led, the goal of Nature Play Days is to get kids outside and remind families that nature play is important and can happen close to home.

If you are interested in hosting a Nature Play Day event at your KIB GreenSpace or KIB Clubs space, please let me know!

If you aren’t interested in hosting an event but would still like to support the initiative, you can also offer your space for another group or programmer to use. If you are interested in supporting in some capacity, please let me know so that we can make sure your space is included.

I have attached the 2017 flier, but you can also learn more by visiting http://www.indianachildrenandnature.org/. This is a great program that helps children, especially in urban areas, get outside and reconnect with nature. Let’s work together to make sure that this happens!
