What makes Carmel green? Did you know that roundabouts save up to 24,000 gallons of gasoline per year and 228 tons of CO2 annually, and that over 80% of Carmel households are recycling under the new program? Did you know that the water plant at 106th Street is a registered LEED project?

Join us to hear Mayor Brainard talk about the green initiatives the City has taken and about his experience on President Obama’s Task Force on Climate Preparedness and Resilience.

Earth Charter Indiana and the state’s Bicentennial Commission will present the Bicentennial Green Legacy Community Award to Carmel.

Following the seminar, Carmel Green Initiative will have a brief annual meeting.  Click here read more and to RSVP.
