Natural Areas Conference in Dayton October 15-17

41st Annual Natural Areas Conference
Dayton, Ohio
Oct. 15-17, 2014
Theme: Deeply Rooted in Restoration

A Week of Informative Presentations and Visits to Stunning Natural Areas

Plenary speakers Emma Marris and Hugh Safford will explore the nature of global change and its effects on natural areas in North America, as well as the changing nature of the human relationship with wild places. They will compare and contrast the impacts of global change on “postage-stamp” networks of natural areas embedded in settled landscapes vs. the large, federally protected landscapes of the West. They will also be addressing how natural areas professionals can ensure that the ecosystems protected within natural areas are sustainable.

Full registration includes your choice of sessions all day on both Wednesday and Thursday, plus an exciting field trip on Friday.

Online registration available through October 10.
