Salt Creek Wildflower Hike at Salt Creek SRA, April 12 at 6 p.m. Limited to 14 people. Registration required by April 10. Call the Paynetown Activity Center at 812-837-9967 or email jvance@dnr.in.gov.

Mt. Carmel Fault Wildflower Hike in Hoosier National Forest, April 19 at 6 p.m. Limited to 14 people. Pre-registration required by April 16. Call the Paynetown Activity Center at 812-837-9967 or email jvance@dnr.in.gov. Participants meet at Paynetown Activity Center and caravan to hike’s starting point.

Wildflowers: Stories Behind the Names at Bloomington Library, April 23 at 7 p.m. Library is located at 303 E. Kirkwood Ave., Bloomington, Room 2B. Explore the history, folklore, and stories behind the names of many Indiana wildflowers, with a focus on spring and early summer bloomers.
