The latest issue of The Plant Press is now available: The Plant Press April 2013
Also attached is a flier for the newly announced 2013 Calumet Naturalist Series. This nine session introduction to the common plants of the Calumet region is the brainchild of INPAWS member and Calumet Outdoor Series founder Eric Neagu, who has enlisted the collaboration of the Illinois Dept. of Natural Resources, Taltree Arboretum, The Field Museum, The Chicago Park District and INPAWS. Please feel free to pass along the brochure to anyone who is interested.
I also want to pass along an invitation from the Indiana Aubudon Society to all INPAWS members and guests to attend the IAS Spring Festival at the Society’s Mary Gray Sanctuary in Connersville, IN. The festival runs from May 3rd through 5th. The Mary Gray Sanctuary is 700+ acre, high-quality wildlife sanctuary that is sure to be of interest to birders and botanists alike. This year’s keynote speaker at the event is noted birder and field guide author Richard Crossley.
