Virtual Book Club on Biodiversity—An Invitation

If you were collecting a library of essential works on conservation, ecology, and biodiversity, what books would you include?

My sister Rosemary and I have been talking about this from the standpoint of what a well-read citizen activist’s life list of books would include. We’ve started with a few of our favorite titles:

A Sand County Almanac, by Aldo Leopold

Silent Spring, by Rachel Carson

The Diversity of Life, by Edward O. Wilson

What are your favorites?  Please add your titles to our list, and if you’re so inclined, tell us what you like about them. At some point we’ll compile the list and share it on this website.
