Purdue Invites INPAWS to Join BioBlitz

Saturday, May 5, 3:00–5:00 pm (A) and 8:30–11:30 pm (E)

Purdue University Forestry and Natural Resources Graduate Student Council will lead a BioBlitz at Weiler-Leopold Nature Reserve/Black Rock Barrens (NICHES Land Trust).

The Task: Help identify species of Fish (A), Herps (A+E), Birds (E), Trees/Plants (A), Mammals (A), and Insects (A+E).

The Reward: Understand local biodiversity. Enjoy the outdoors. Learn identification skills and interact with new people.

Important Information: Parking is limited; carpooling is encouraged. NO BATHROOMS OR DRINKING WATER ON SITE. Wear boots, pants, long sleeve shirts, insect repellent, sunscreen, hat, waders (for fish identification). Bring other interested people, water & snacks, cameras, field guides, binoculars, flashlights.
