New Committee to Offer Landscaping Support

Recognizing the growing interest in landscaping with native plants, INPAWS is forming a new committee that will more intentionally respond to the gardening public’s needs. Among other tasks, the committee will be charged to:

  • Evaluate the information available on the INPAWS website, in brochures, and from other organizations and agencies to see where INPAWS could fill gaps. For example, INPAWS might take the lead in helping gardeners respond to drought conditions.
  • Maintain the list of recommended sources of native plants, seek out additional suppliers, keep the list current, and develop criteria for recommended garden designers.
  • Provide consultation to the Garden Tour committee in selecting suitable gardens for the tour, maintaining a list of candidate gardens.
  • Other tasks that address the public’s landscaping needs, as determined by the committee members and INPAWS Council.
